Teacher-with-children-writingThe decision of our curriculum is a prayerful decision and will be re-evaluated throughout the year and at the end of every school year. Additional resources may be used throughout the school year to focus on student interests, specific holidays or for academic interventions.

Our 2026-2027 curriculum choices are as follows:

Preschool : The Gentle + Classical Preschool. It is a Christian based curriculum that incorporates scripture memorization, language arts, science, art, health and music. The math activities will be from Preschool Math at Home by Kate Snow.

Preschool and Kindergarten Bible: The Beginners Gospel Story Bible, Big Thoughts for Tiny Tots (Catechism) and Big Thoughts for Little People . We will focus on weekly Bible stories, scripture memorization, and a catechism question. Some stories will be brought to life with a video, or a craft.

Elementary Bible: The Bible Recap for Kids and The Gospel Way Catechism for Kids. We will be following a chronological reading plan reading through Genesis & Job and part of Exodus. We will have weekly Catechism questions, scripture memorization and vocabulary words to help develop our understanding of God’s Word. The Bible Recap has many resources for kids including youtube videos recapping our readings of the week.

Geography: Beautiful Feet Books Around the World with Picture Books. The programs are inspired by the Charlotte Mason method of education. They are literature-based study with carefully chosen books to bring the subjects to life. Read-alouds, discussions, hands-on activities, video links, and more make up this curriculum.

Science: Apologia Zoology 2 Swimming Creatures. This is written using the Charlotte Mason method of education, which means it is perfect for Kindergarten through 6th grade. Together, the children will explore the animal kingdom and complete hands-on activities to make learning come to life. They will learn about the amazing design and characteristics of the animal kingdom as part of God’s creation.

Health: Growing Up Nourished. This is a multi-age curriculum designed so children may gain an understanding of how food fuels the body. Each child will have their own nutrition journal to go along with each lesson.

Mathematics: Singapore Dimensions Math for Kindergarten and Apologia Math for first grade and up. Singapore Dimensions Math is a hands-on math program engaging and challenging for our Kindergarten students. To ensure that students understand concepts, instruction moves from concrete to pictorial to abstract. Apologia math uses many hands-on activities to introduce new concepts, worksheets for practice and daily review of previous taught skills. First through 6th grade may take a placement exam to determine the correct level of math to begin.

Language Arts: Foundations and Essentials by Logic of English. This is a structured literacy program that integrates phonemic awareness, phonics, morphology, handwriting (manuscript and cursive), grammar, spelling and comprehension. The program uses the Orton-Gillingham philosophy for teaching language arts . A Placement test is available to be given to children to determine which level is recommended to begin.

Writing: Institute for Excellence for Writing (IEW) curriculum. Children who are reading at or above a third grade reading level will be in a writing group. They will learn the seven units of the IEW structure: take notes, retell narrative stories, summarize references, write from pictures, and composition.
